Help-Portrait San Fernando 2012
Alas Media, friends and fellow community members invite you to be a part of the Fourth Annual Help-Portrait, San Fernando!
Help-Portrait provides holiday portraits for families who would otherwise not be able to afford them. We recruit volunteer photographers, make-up artists, hair stylists and put on a great event for very deserving families. Help-Portrait will take place on Saturday, December 8th.
Help-Portrait provides holiday portraits for families who would otherwise not be able to afford them. We recruit volunteer photographers, make-up artists, hair stylists and put on a great event for very deserving families. Help-Portrait will take place on Saturday, December 8th.
Our volunteers pick up families who do not have transportation, we provide breakfast and snacks, we do hair and make up, we entertain children in our Kid's Corner, we photograph the families, let them select their favorite photo, print it, frame it and they walk away with a wonderful memory. The families we service are referred to us by community organizations that work with families in need.
Please support this great event - a dollar, five dollars, whatever you can spare!
Last year, we provided portraits for 40 families. This year, we'd like to reach 60 (or more!).
The money raised covers the costs of items such as: equipment rental, printer paper, ink, picture frames, snacks for the families & volunteers, goody bags for the little ones, arts and crafts supplies for the Kid's Corner, make-up, hair supplies, props, decorations and other items needed to set up for the event. Any money left over is used for the following year.
